Studded Magazine originated from an idea to create an outlet that showcased smaller artists and the great diversity of music. Studded Magazine's founder realized that these artists deserved a platform where their music can be recognized and appreciated. She also noticed not many black, indigenous and POC women were given the same platform as their male counterparts in the music industry. So, she decided to start her own platform to uplift these voices.

 

In doing so, she wanted to use Studded Magazine to build a community for creatives to network, uplift each other's art and showcase their work. This is why anyone is encouraged to submit a piece they have written or any work they want to be featured on SM here.

 

Studded Magazine is the best way for readers to find artists for every genre and find a community where music is celebrated and appreciated.
